With a bachelor's degree in design & communication, I built an international career in advertising that took me from Lisbon to Singapore, Berlin, and currently Hamburg. From my upbringing in the punk scene, I inherited a DIY mentality that together with my child-like curiosity sent me on a lifelong learning journey. Because of this mindset throughout my career, I learned about filming, editing, scriptwriting, strategy, digital media, copywriting, leadership for creativity, creative use of data, and most recently during the pandemic I invested 5 months learning UX design.
When designing a communication campaign, a product, or a service, I do it for the business and for the people that it serves, never for myself. Being aware of this fact allows to override my personal biases and create overarching “big ideas” that capture the audience's interest, influence their emotional response, and trigger impactful actions.
When I'm not doing the above you can find me taking care of my family. In the 5 minutes that occasionally separate those two main tasks, you can find me performing breathing exercises or picking up a sign-painting brush.
